Now before I get shot down, I do enjoy a lot of Burbank Films Australia&#39;s output, particularly Wind in the Willows and Peter Pan. The Odyssey is one of their worst in my opinion alongside 20000 Leagues Under the Sea and The Prisoner of Zenda. I have always had mixed feelings on the animation quality of the Burbank Film Australia animations, some like Peter Pan are colourful and fluid, others like Three Musketeers look flat and inelegant, and sadly for me The Odyssey&#39;s quality fell into the latter quality. A lot of the character designs were stiff especially the facial expressions and the backgrounds had no life to them. The music could&#39;ve been rousing like in Treasure Island or The Adventures of Robin Hood(for examples) but feels over-bearing instead, while the characters don&#39;t convince with the more heroic characters silly and bland and the peril especially the cyclops unintentionally goofy. The voice acting is wooden and perhaps too clichéd. Things are not helped by the rushed pacing and action, hilariously cheesy dialogue(&quot;Nobody is Killing Me!&quot;) and a story that not just suffers from numerous and unrecognisable deviations from the text but also from a complete lack of thrills, suspense or genuine excitement. Overall, I like Burbank but The Odyssey I sadly quite disliked this time round. 1/10 Bethany Cox &#39;The Odyssey&#39; is quite likely the worst film you will ever come across. In which case why give it two stars, why not one? Well The truth is its so bad I actually enjoy watching it. It&#39;s hilariously bad. The first time i saw it i laughed from start to finish, the second time i watched it i somehow laughed even more.<br/><br/>It is a blend of disappointing animation and atrocious music. If you paused the tape you would see three images at once. The script is terrible, the jokes arn&#39;t funny and yet i just can&#39;t stop laughing. The voice acting is wooden to say the least. Annoying wailing chords overlay pictures of sheep. You have to ask yourself how it could be that at no point the proudction team thought to step up and say that maybe it might be a good idea just to cancel the whole thing.<br/><br/>Watch it and enjoy its atrociousness for yourself is all i can say. There&#39;s just to much wrong with it, it would take me years to point out everything.
